The giant: a story about accepting diversity 6th Kindergarten Veria-Greece
Children literature offers us the chance to promote social values and principles in a very simple and attractive way. When we began to read the stories (written by Michael Grater), many children supposed that the giant was bad and he would step on people or perhaps eat them! Just because he was big and quite strange in appearance! But as we continued to read we understood that he was only sick and needed help and love like we all do. We are all different but we have the same needs, we share the same thoughts!

FELDS OF HOPE. Skwierzyna - Poland
„Fields of Hope” is the annual campaign aimed to raise awareness for the palliative and hospice care for the terminally ill patients and their families. The international symbol of this initiative are daffodils which remind us of suffering people needing our care and support in the difficult time of dying. Our children along with their parents support this initiative. In the campaign “Fields of Hope” bulbs of daffodils were planted in front of the building of the "Miś Uszatek" kindergarten. In spring, when the daffodils blossom, they will remind children how important supporting terminally ill children and adults is.

This is Ms Patricia Bondin class for 2012 -2013. All the parents gave me consent to have photos taken of the children in my class. In the group photo one child is missing - Aiden. As you can see the children are pleased that they are being photographed. So they all have HAPPY FACES. The children are very settled and happy as we have started to do painting, colouring, glueing and singing too.
